I'm telling them my condition, and I know there are lot of people in the same boat. Again you need to talk to the lawyer about GC cost. Emplyee can bear all the GC related cost.
EAD/AP 360*2 + 305*3(Spouse + son) is almost 2K.
If your facts are different put that in writing and send it to them. Please stop telling me my facts. Also I have no idea why you are on this thread, please ignore this thread if it doesn't apply to you...

I don't understand why you are picking up on facts and faults on other post.What mirage is saying is true.I know 3 families stuck up in this GC process...all true cases.
There are some lucky people who have bought old labor substiution ;)who came to US in 2004 and got their GC's cleared and are very :D.
Some really who have come here to study...living in US for past 10 years genuine appliers are really stuck in this.They have all applied their labor and got them cleared only dec 2006.
people who are interested can send those letters if not ignore the thread.
If you are EB2 good for you...Its not that easy to change jobs having families..and when you are satisfied with the employer ,why would they change.
Everyone here want GC to stay in this country.And we all are here to find solutions thru IV - active participation is better.

I am trying to pay thru PNC Bank. When trying to add IV, there are 2 options. One is With number and the second Without number.

I think it would be without a number. Now that depends on which number? If they need an account number then, yes no account number OR you could use your IV handle as the account number. Different banks have different methods of BILL PAY.

Folks - there is going to be some changes in the strategy here. I have discussed this issue with IV core and we will update the new strategy soon, until then you may continue to send the letters.

What estimated # of applications is USCIS expecting through this movement?
If the dates were current last year same time, how many ppl with PDs between 2004 and 2006 would have missed the bus last year? Dont think many wld have...

I am curious..
why USCIS/ DOL needs a law to re-capture visa # which were not used in previous years ?
I mean Congress already authorized these ? Canot DOL/ UCIS make a judgement based on their own ?

There is no law to allow re-capture of visa numbers as of yet. In fact it says the opposite in the existing laws - That the visa numbers may not be re-captured.
There has been one case of visa recapture law passed during the Clinton administration and they did not allow a rollover recapture (I believe they recaptured the visa numbers that were lost between 1995 and 2000 only (please correct me if I am wrong about the years))

He's been an advocate on backlog issues, and his staff had helped look into my case last year. I used his web site to send him an email (for VA residents only), slightly modifying the phone script to thank him, since I finally got my green card in November. Will post response when I receive it.

Immigrating legally to the U.S seemed like a gold opportunity when I was offered to work here six years ago with an H1B visa. As a matter of fact, all my friends and family considered that it would have been crazy not to take advantage of the "opportunity" to live and work in the most developed country on Earth.
I would return to my country if we didn't have a nasty political turmoil and the social decay that comes with it. Yet, I feel that the days go by and our lives are entangled in this absurd situation.
you should have asked - is there anyone left here who has not given up. look at plus side - you are not from India / China - I would go to venezula under Chavez's rule in a blink (if I was single ) just for the pretty girls .. jokes aside --
first there is hope (when you first apply) - then impatience - then despair (as you count the lawyer / USCIS fees over the years) - then anger that nothing is happening - then bit of depression -- then FINALLY you attain NIRVANA -- the bliss (the money saved due to uncertainity helps) !!!! and you realize -- it is just a silly card.. if it has to come it will come. it will come when it has to and why worry about a card when economy in US is lethargic and around the world things are improving.
so have a backup - enjoy life - look at positive side (maybe you didn't buy a overpriced house because of the GC uncertainity etc) and don't worry ..LIFE is too short .

From July onwards since there will be no EB3 visas to give, will those IOs previously assigned to EB3 cases be freed up, or will they continue working on EB3 cases (stopping just short of approving them)? What happens to RD who are in July, will their cases continue to process or no will look at them

I have a loan with LIC. The rates are pretty good and no-prepayment penalty if paid using NRI funds only. Took some time to set all this up. Definitely need a local person to carry out all the paperwork and good support from the builder. Their email system is not very efficient. Tried with HDFC before this in Hyd and had lots of problems getting the loan even after contacting the CEO.

this is a 2004 EB3 approval! This is the first one I am seeing from 2004. So looks like they have really cleaned the pipes here, and things should be better going forward.
The nicest thing of this whole fiasco is that they seem to have ignored country-limits and approved as many as possible. Last year they did only 9.8K EB Indians (teh final count was 17k, but that was due to ScheduleA). THis year (2007) if they have gotten 20-30K India applications out, the dates should move better in the future.
Eagerly awaiting 2 USCIS stats:
1. per-country per-category EB approvals in 2007
2. number of 485 applications received by August 17th
