    Has anyone contacted senators in NJ and got any response? I contacted them through regular mail filling out the forms from their website and enquiring on my pending 485 but haven't recived any response from either of them yet. I sent my papers on Sep 2nd and haven't heard anything back.

    Thanks - I took this walking along a railroad bed that is no longer in use. I must have chased 10 of these things around before I finally got this one that would hold still long enough to get a descent shot.

    Animal portraits are my "thing", so I don't mean to be overcritical... Try to get the animal's face in the light. The rooster's a good subject, and you got down to rooster height, which is really good, and you got him when crowing - a great behavior. Unfortunately, the face is in shadow, and that means you don't get the "catchlight" sparkle in the eye. Also, you often don't get the eye quite in focus, since autofocus works on contrast. A lot of faults in a protrait can be overlooked if the eye is sharp. In this case, you're focused on the neck feathers, not quite on the eye, so if you can reshoot it, try for getting light in the eye, and I think you'll like the results even more. Good luck & have fun with it!

    its mostly additional security review. A friend of mine was in similar situation, took about 6-8 weeks for him to get a visa.... but unfortunately client wasn't ready to wait that longer.....

    I talked to my attorney yesterday about converting my April 2001 TR (EB3 India) to RIR regarding the "hold Harmless" rule and he told me that AILA is going to get more info on the 10th next week regarding more info and would it be safe to convert or not.
    The thing holding him back right now is the fact that some of his other DBEC LC clients sent e-mail request 2 weeks ago and have still not received anything back about Prevailing wage or any ammendments.Once you send the e-mail your case is RIR only and all paper work has to be sent by April 01 or your case is closed.Now say you send for RIR conversion 15th January and it takes DBEC 1 month to get back to you and that leaves a very tight window to get all Recruitment report together by April 01.
    I will post next week after the 12th and see what he says.
    As far as the September 2007 date he told me that AILA has allready found out that both DBEC and PBEC have got an extension and funding till Febraury 2008 but do not want to annonunce because the pressure all people who are stuck writing to their Senators and Congress.

    just finished going thro all the proposed ammendments...only a handful (1154, 1156, 1166, 1183, 1200, 1220, 1242, 1249) deal with EB issues at all....very few of them are positive (3) for us.........also based on an article on immigration-law website, EB based people have no voice in the negotiations!!! so...as frusterating this may be.....its looking like a certainity that many of us will be screwed big time..........lets keep doing what we can through IV.......it looks all dooms though.........:mad:

    Hi friends

    I travelled out of USA and am trying to get back into USA with AP. I am using H1B(not stamped).
    THey temporarily transferred to me indian office for this duration.

    I also have EAD with me(not yet started to use).Now My co. is not letting me to go back to USA
    without a project.If incase i want to change my employer, how can I do it..

    Will it hurt to go back without employers permission to USA and then to use EAD to get a job?
    After this I plan to submit my resignation.For EAD, 180 days already crossed.

    If I want to do the above,how many days I have to get a job with EAD with a new employer after I go to USA?

    What are my options?

    My friend opted for consular processing and he is now thinking it was a bad idea. He is in EB2, and his PD is sometime in 06 (not sure of the month)
    Can he file for an AOS now?

    U must be fine, but you may just want to give a letter to them staating your current address and contact information, in case they need to fill out thei 94 forms and need accurate info. Its your choice :)
